If you had told me ten years ago I’d be building websites for a living, I probably would have laughed.
For 14 years, I was a high school teacher teaching everything from Algebra and Personal Finance to Guitar and Choir, while also somehow becoming the go-to person for student leadership, school events, and keeping a hundred moving pieces from completely imploding.
Looking back, I probably should’ve seen this coming.
I’ve pretty much always been the person who likes helping people, organizing chaos, and figuring out how to make complicated things feel a little less intimidating. And the fact that I somehow majored in math and minored in art was probably an early warning sign that I’d eventually become deeply invested in both pretty design and systems that actually work.
A few years ago, I hit a point where I realized the pace I had been living at simply wasn’t sustainable anymore.
Between a 40 minute commute, raising two kids, and operating at what I can now confidently describe as a slightly unhinged level of burnout, I knew something had to change. Ironically, right in the middle of all that, I was awarded Teacher of the Year but honestly was way too exhausted to even fully enjoy it.
So I did what any totally stable person would do and started a business.
Now I get to help fellow business owners build online spaces that feel thoughtful, functional, and supportive of the life they’re actually trying to build. Because I know firsthand that most business owners are already juggling enough.
